Why this work

I've been doing this work since 2007. It always starts the same way: find out what's actually going on, clean up what needs cleaning, and build the reporting that tells the real story.

Then the harder work begins.

The infrastructure that lets a founder step back. The team that makes decisions without checking in. The cash forecast that doesn't lie to you. The systems that keep working when you take a week off.

That's the work I'm here for.

Background

I founded Crux in 2007. The gap I kept seeing: a banker who shows up when you need financing, a CPA who shows up in April, and nobody thinking about your business the other eleven months of the year. That's the work I do.

In between, I spent a decade at Gener8, a product development and manufacturing firm serving the medical device industry. I joined as an engineer, moved into operations, and ended up as Director of Strategic Initiatives, helping scale the company from $20M to $120M in revenue and from 50 to 250 people.

I have a Master's in Physics from UBC. I came to this work from a different direction than most. It shows in how I work.

Outside of work, I've spent the last twenty-five years raising three humans who turned out remarkably well. I'm proud of them, and proud to have sent such good people out into the world. I've always done my best work helping someone else win. Turns out that applies at home too.

I hike the hills of the Bay Area with my husband and our dog. I sew, and have been known to wear the results in public.

If your business has outgrown its systems, that's what I fix.
